The Challenge
Type 1 diabetes diagnosis among teenagers can often induce feelings of fear, uncertainty, and loneliness. They feel like no one understands what they are going through.
Suddenly everything must be planned down to the last detail, and the fear of getting caught without the necessary gear hovers over them.
The Solution
An app that helps teens with type 1 diabetes meet other teens like them, allowing them to see that there are others who know what they are going through – lots of them. This is a place where they can meet teenagers just like them, ask questions, get advice, and help, and dispel worries and loneliness. Not only that, but they can send a request for help with the press of a button and the request will be passed on to relevant users who use the same devices.
